Rozana is actively involved in three critical and evolving initiatives aimed at addressing the health aspects of the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. These initiatives, developed in collaboration with various partners, address immediate, short-term, and long-term needs. Each program represents a concrete effort to meet emergency needs and contribute to the long-term rehabilitation of Gaza.

Mobile Tent Healthcare Initiative: The Mobile Tent Healthcare Initiative aims to serve 6,000 internally displaced people (IDP) monthly. In partnership with ANERA and Sheba Beyond, this initiative provides essential healthcare services to those who have been forced to flee their homes. By setting up mobile healthcare tents, we can offer immediate medical attention and support, helping to alleviate the dire health conditions faced by IDPs.
Jumpstarting Hope in Gaza: Jumpstarting Hope in Gaza is a humanitarian initiative led by Damour for Community Development, with support from the Arava Institute for Environmental Studies and a broad coalition of partners. Coalition members include The Peres Center for Peace, Professor David Hassan, Duke University, Rozana, SmartAID, Movement on the Ground, and more. This collaborative effort addresses urgent water, sanitation, hygiene (WASH), and energy needs in Gaza through innovative, off-grid solutions. The project leverages cross-border expertise to deploy solar-powered desalination systems, atmospheric water generators, biodigesters, and microgrids in shelters, providing critical relief to thousands of displaced individuals. Together, the coalition demonstrates the power of regional and international cooperation in creating sustainable "green refugee camps," offering immediate aid while laying the groundwork for long-term resilience in Gaza.
The Portland Trust’s “Emerging Palestine” Concept: The “Emerging Palestine” Concept, developed by The Portland Trust, is a comprehensive plan for the future rehabilitation of Gaza. This plan includes creating a corridor connecting Gaza with the West Bank, focusing on social and economic rehabilitation. Developed in collaboration with the Palestinian Authority in Ramallah and major Palestinian entrepreneurs, this initiative aims to rebuild Gaza’s infrastructure and economy. Rozana has been engaged as the potential project lead in the capacity-building components, positioning us at the forefront of this critical rehabilitation effort.
These Gaza initiatives are more than just projects; they are lifelines for thousands of people in desperate need. By providing immediate healthcare, creating safe spaces for children, and planning for long-term rehabilitation, we are making a tangible impact on the ground.
