We took 10 Hebron-based nurses to Ben Gurion University’s simulation center for hands-on infection control training, receiving excellent feedback and a desire for more Israeli-Palestinian collaboration.
Another milestone: ECMO training at Sheba Medical Center for 25 doctors and nurses from Al Makassed Hospital, in collaboration with the Peres Center for Peace and Innovation. With two ECMO machines in place and trained staff, the impact is already visible.
We’re also running an ICU training program at Hebron’s largest hospital, preparing 60 new ICU nurses over three months to strengthen local healthcare.
Over 40 health professionals, including our Women4Women team, are taking part in a 10-week Arabic-language bespoke diabetes management course delivered by Sheba Medical Center.
Earlier this year, we partnered with the Renal Society of Australasia to develop a Nephrology and Dialysis training module reflective of local needs. It has since been accessed by over 1,000 people worldwide. We’re now developing a pediatric-focused course.
We also launched our Leadership Development Program, bringing together 16 Palestinian and Israeli nursing leaders for a four-month journey that concludes with a nine-day retreat in Switzerland.
Finally, we’re gearing up for a Technology Hackathon this month, uniting 30 Palestinian and Israeli health professionals to innovate workplace solutions. The program will culminate in an in-person Hackathon in January 2025.
